Laser Marking
Laser Marking - is a process that uses a laser beam to create a permanent mark on a surface by altering its material properties. The process involves directing a high-energy laser beam onto the surface to be marked, which causes the material to melt, vaporize, or undergo a chemical reaction, resulting in a permanent mark. Laser marking is widely used in a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, medical, and electronics, to mark identification codes, serial numbers, logos, and other information onto a wide range of materials, including metals, plastics, ceramics, and glass.
Laser Annealing - is similar to laser marking, but instead of removing material from the surface, the laser beam is used to heat the material and cause a controlled oxidation reaction. This results in a dark, high-contrast mark that is resistant to wear and fading. Laser annealing is commonly used in the semiconductor industry to mark silicon wafers with identification codes and other information.
Laser Etching - is a process that uses a laser beam to selectively remove material from the surface of a material, creating a shallow groove or depression. The depth and width of the groove can be controlled by adjusting the laser beam intensity, pulse duration, and frequency. Laser etching is commonly used to create high-resolution graphics, text, and barcodes on a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, and glass.
Laser Engraving - is a process that uses a laser beam to remove material from the surface of a material, creating a deep, permanent mark that is visible to the naked eye and can be felt with the fingertips. Laser engraving is commonly used to create detailed designs, logos, and text on a variety of materials, including wood, leather, acrylic, and metal. Unlike laser etching, laser engraving creates a three-dimensional effect, with the engraved area standing out from the surrounding material.
Bar Coding, DOT Coding, Lot Numbers,
Unique Serial Numbers, 2D QR Coding
We can mark Bar codes, DOT codes, Lot #, Serial #, and 2D QR codes.Â

Standards and ToleranceÂ
At Lake Laser Engraving, we strive to meet the strickest of customer standards and tolerences.
We have the skill and expertise to go above and beyond expectations.

Sizing
Sizing of text and logo graphics are related to the type laser wavelength used and the substrate being marked. Fiber lasers on metal can be as small as 0.005" with good legibility.Â
We can laser marking items up to 12" x 24" on fiber and 12" x 20" in CO2.
Cylinder marking is avaliable as well.

Quantities
We can process orders from the proto-type stage through multi-thousand piece orders. Using process automation and intellegent fixturing. No job is to small or large.

Materials
We can process a wide range of materials including.

Stainless Steel  • Titanium • Aluminum
 Gold & Silver • Plastics • Glass
 Acrylic • Leather
